(D8) Noel Hastings Pennefather, born 14/7/1895. Enlisted for the Great War

1914-1918 at age 21 on 1/8/1916, Private 3071, 8th Australian Light Horse

regiment, known to have charged at Beersheba. Returned to Australia

16/3/1919. Noel was on the Tick staff. Had a farm called Haynorth at the

foot of Haystack Mountain, Old Benalbo NSW. This farm he sold to his

brother Claud Wilfred. Died 11/7/1971 Married Gladys Zita Dilley

(23/4/1906-28/1/1992)
