(D13) H.Frank Pennefather, born 1894 Berwick, Victoria. Educated Scotch
College, Melbourne. Lieut. 56th Batt. 1st AIF in the Great War 1914-1918.
Awarded M.C. in 1918. Enlisted 31/5/1915 and returned to Australia
2/6/1919. Met Mary Jordan in London during that war. They wed in
Australia in about 1922. One daughter, Patricia Ann, born 1927, and a
grand-daughter, Judith Ackery. Frank was pre-deceased by his wife Mary,
his daughter Ann and his second wife Marrion. Took up land at O’Connell
near Bathurst, two properties: The Aloes and Llambeda. Frank, like his
father and brother Wilfred, was a noted sheep-classer. He died following a
days classing at Uardry stud in 1964.
