GENERAL CABLE NEWS.
BRITISH BY-ELECTION.
LONDON, Feb. 15.
Colonel Gerald Kyflin-Taylor, who had
represented the Kirkdale division of Liver-
pool in the Unionist interest since 1910, re--
signed a few- days ago. His place has
been filled by the unopposed return of Mr.,
de F.Pennefather, also a Unionist, who
contested the seat unsuccessfully on a pre-
vious occasion.

(R53) Sir John de Fonblanque Pennefather, born in Perth, AUSTRALIA in
1856, son of (R48) Kingsmill Pennefather, (See notes above and notes on
Australian families), MP for Kirkdale Div. Liverpool. Created a baronet,
married Madeline, daughter of Sir Robert Prescott Stewart, celebrated
musician and composer. Died 1933 DSP.
